"La Jarrige"

Na een paar hele koude dagen hier op “La Jarrige” vandaag eindelijk mooi weer!
“La Jarrige” is het (vakantie)huis van mijn ouders en ligt in de Dordogne. We vonden het huis, bijna 13 jaar geleden, na een zoektocht met wel 17 huizen-bekijken-in-3 dagen. Ik was toen hoogzwanger van mijn oudste dochter. In al die 13 jaar dat we het huis nu hebben speelde “La Jarrige” een rol bij belangrijke gebeurtenissen in mijn leven. Ik deed hier een zwangerschapstest en bleek zwanger van mijn tweede dochter. Mijn dochters leerden hier zwemmen. Ik kwam hier met heel veel verschillende mensen. Met vrienden, andere jonge gezinnen, met familie, zelfs met een groep totaal onbekende mensen op de “Reiki-week” die mijn vader organiseerde. Ook bood het huis troost toen ik na mijn scheiding in mijn eentje-met-2-kleine-kinderen naar Frankkijk reed om mijn eerste vakantie te “vieren” als alleenstaande moeder. 
Nu kom ik hier al weer 5 jaar met Lief. Hij vroeg mij hier een paar jaar geleden, bij het kampvuur, ten huwelijk. Even dachten wij eraan om hier ook te trouwen maar dat bleek praktisch wat lastig.
Het huis ( en 3 hectare grond eromheen) heeft iets magisch. Iedereen die hier komt ervaart hetzelfde:

Je VOELT de historie. Het huis komt uit 1776 en was altijd een boerderij, tot er brand uitbrak. Daarna heeft het huis 50 jaar leeg gestaan! Maar is gelukkig ontdekt door Patricia; een lieve Engelse dame, die het huis renoveerde samen met haar man. Toen haar man overleed wilde ze er niet meer alleen in wonen en verkocht ze “La jarrige” aan mijn ouders.

    Wauw! Wat een pracht van een huis, een pracht van een uitzicht en prachtig mooi weer! Absoluut geweldig! Nu is mijn frans erg slecht (heb er zelfs nooit les in gehad), dus mag ik vragen wat La Jarrige betekend? Ik lees steeds ‘jarig’ hahaha!

    Zo wat een heerlijke foto’s! Ik verheug me nu nog meer op onze vakantie die we hebben geboekt; een huisje in Frankrijk! We zijn heel wat jaartjes naar de Dordogne geweest, een van mijn lievelingsplekken: zo mooi, dit jaar wordt het een andere streek in Frankrijk..Geniet ze!
    PS Ik kom niet meer toe aan mijn hsh posts…tijdgebrek maar vooral gebrek aan leuke kiekjes hier, huis lijkt af en toe meer een bouwplaats…hopelijk ziet het er over een jaartje weer anders uit.

    oooo heerlijk,wij gaan deze zomer ook naar dat gebied,voor het eerst in ons leven,want we gaan altijd naar oostenrijk maar de kids wilden eens wat anders,ik vind het heel eng en spannend,maar als ik dit zie krijg ik er helemaal zin in.

      Dat zwembad is misschien decadent maar dat is wel de grote reden waarom we het hier in de zomervakantie 3 weken volhouden… Trouwens, de kinderen hebben vandaag ook al gezwommen. De helden! het water is 17 graden…..brrrr
